Alpha v0.3


It's been about a month since the last release which is the pace I'm aiming to keep for the foreseeable future. Updates will be relatively small, with maybe one or two new features and some bug fixes or visual updates. The into scene is completely redone and I'm really happy about how it's starting to look. All the assets are public domain so will certainly change in the future, but i think the general vibe of the game is really starting to come through. Some really significant performance changes were made this time so hopefully its much more playable. Hope you enjoy!

New features

Equipment

Equipment is now available and can be equipped through the updated status screen. You can obtain a piece of equipment from the special stages. Just a small selection available now, more will be added in future releases.

Added Audio

Added some music and UI sound effects. I'll continue adding in the future.

UI Changes

Intro screen and status screen got a complete overhaul. Some other UI elements were also updated. Very much a work in progress. Artwork is all placeholder stuff at the minute and will change in the future.


Bug Fixes

  • Major improvements to performance
  • Health bars will no longer display over other ui elements

Known Issues

  • Missing graphics, webGL issue
  • Context menu is sometimes shown behind the mouse cursor which makes it hard to read
  • Some keyboard button presses will cause certain scenes to load or reload or perform other actions. These are for debugging purposes and will be removed later.
  • Summoning a unit on top of another unit will prevent you from summoning that unit.
  • Action menu is positioned wrong in some resolutions
  • Clicking a unit in the left panel should move the camera to that unit, but the positioning is too high.
  • Camera isn't anchored so you can move it far away from the level
  • Clicking an empty flask slot will give you another one, this is intended for testing and will be removed later
